Since Rock School propelled him to stardom, Chris hooked up with Ray Hedges who had produced UK punk group Towers Of London – one of Chris’s favourite bands, and began writing and recording an album’s worth of pop tunes full of enough hooks for Chris to hang up each and every one of his beloved baseball caps.

It didn’t take long for record companies to show keen interest in Chris. Soon there was a battle to sign him which RCA Label Group eventually won. At this point Lil’ Chris feet didn’t get a chance to touch the ground. A full UK tour was announced, including a night at the famous Camden Barfly venue – a “grown up venue”. It sold out completely. Chris sent the crowd into a frenzy night after night and his debut single ‘Checkin’ It Out’ released in September reached number 3 and was the summer pop anthem of 2006.

Chris self titled debut album followed in December which won high praise from all sections of the press, and has since been certified GOLD. Another sold out tour followed and another smash single ‘Getting’ Enough’. By now Chris was a household name. His videos were causing controversy for their risqué tone, his online community in excess of a million – Chris had become by accident ‘the voice of a generation’, regularly asked to lend his support to charities and government backed initiatives aimed at teenagers.

Things are already moving fast for Lil’ Chris – and when you meet him in person you’ll find out that he’s still grounded, chatty and likeable. “My motto in life is that you only get out as much as you put in,” he explains, “and so far I’m having the time of my life putting everything into this!”
