Le Fil

LE FIL is a British-Chinese multidisciplinary pop artist and performer, catapulted into our pop cultural consciousness from RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Season 4.

Le Fil creates pop music and art that he describes as pop sculpture. Treating himself as both a sculptor and sculpture, he works across many art-forms to create striking sounds and visuals that explore notions of gender and identity. Attitude Magazine placed him on one of their magazine covers, describing him as a ‘living, breathing pop sculpture’.

As a first for the Drag Race franchise, Le Fil released a new song to accompany each week’s episode, culminating in the Le Filosophical EPs that expanded the artistic ideas he presented on the runways. These EPs feature songs like Alive and Yin To My Yang, which have been delighting audiences on his recent tours and performances.

Alongside his music, Le Fil is known for his unique androgynous style and artistic flair. His captivating shows are described as ‘pop gigs with extras’- part-pop concert, part-live art, part-fashion installation. Every piece of Le Fil’s output is a considered and conceptual work of art, making him one of today’s most exciting, rising stars.

Le Fil is an activist and vocal champion of LGBTQ+ rights and ending Asian discrimination. With a focus on bringing his perspectives to the mainstream, Le Fil has collaborated with many global brands and clients to spread his vision for equality, diversity and creativity. Le Fil has fronted campaigns and appeared in many performances, music videos, projects and editorials. Le Fil has worked with British Vogue, Hunger TV, Toyota, Smirnoff, Amazon, Little Mix, Steps, Jessie Ware, Eurostar, Guardian, P!nk, Agent Provocateur, Gareth Pugh, Unilever, Virgin, Attitude Magazine, Wallpaper*, ITV, Diet Coke, British Airways, Barclaycard and many more.
