Born in Texas,USA to South African parents, ‘Singer/Songwriter’ Vula is no newcomer to the ever changing music industry. Having started writing, singing and getting a taste for success at a young age, she began collaborating with some of the industries finest DJ’s and producers including the likes of MJ Cole who gave Vula her first Top 40 UK Single “Wondering Why”.

In 2003 Vula joined one of the biggest electronic group’s in the UK, Basement Jaxx. This brought huge success when they released their first collaboration “Oh My Gosh” in 2005. The track bagged Vula her first Top 10 peaking at No.7 in the official UK charts as well as No.1 on both the Official UK Dance Charts & the Official UK Indie Charts as featured vocalist & songwriter. She continued to see success on other Jaxx hits such as “Hush Boy” and continues to tour the world with them to this day. Her career so far has seen her work & collaborate with other acts/artists on their projects & on various stages globally including Sam Smith, Clean Bandit, Adele, Madonna, Dizzee Rascal, Incognito, Sam Sparro & most recently the legend Quincy Jones. She has also been touring heavily for 4yrs years with DJ legend Pete Tong & the Heritage Orchestra as an Arranger & Vocal MD as well as featured vocalist for Tong’s hugely successful “Ibiza Classics”.

Most recently Vula has seen chart success with the hit single “Turn Me On (Dr Love)” alongside Riton and Oliver Heldens, a Top 10 on the Official UK Top 40 Chart for over 6 weeks since its release in Sept 2019.
