Dan presents All City every Saturday night (23:00-00:00) on Xfm, playing out the very best in rap and hip-hop alongside exclusive interviews with everyone from 50 Cent to the cream of the UK scene.
He started out doing student radio in 1986, which was always a great passion of his, he liked the idea of sharing his record collection with people. He's been a club DJ for over 10 years and built up a number of residencies around the country. He became a freelance journalist, writing for 'Hip-Hop Connection', in 1995 and that developed into a senior contributor position leading to commissioned articles for more lifestyle magazines such as 'The Face' as a specialist hip-hop writer. He started 'Fat Lace' magazine in '97, which was at the cutting edge of hip-hop music and is now a successful web magazine. He's also dabbled with production over the years, having been A&R for Bad Magic/Wall Of Sound, signing both Blak Twang and Vinyl Dialect. Since then he's had A&R and strategic input into a number of music ventures. He now owns a record label called All City Music. He has also released a number of mix CD's working alongside DJ Yoda.
