Lily Allen's whirlwind career speaks for itself. A smash Worldwide hit album behind her and a new one due for release has meant that her spare time is very rare. Yet somehow over the past two years (in addition to never ending touring and album promotion) Lily has still managed to squeeze in designing a cool critically acclaimed fashion range for high street store New Look, host her own TV show for BBC3 "Lily Allen And Friends" and now she is turning her musical hands to DJ'ing.
Not content with the fade up and down techniques of some of her peers Lily will be playing using Serato and is looking forward to learning some new tricks behind the decks. Musically Lilys tastes are very diverse, "I listened to punk, ska and reggae when I grew up, courtesy of my parents' record collections. We moved around London... Shepherds Bush, Bloomsbury, Islington... and I absorbed all the music around me. I got expelled from various schools and was sent to boarding school as they thought it would be a restraining influence, but I ran away to Glastonbury and other places when I was 14. Then I got into jungle and drum and bass."
