Bolton lass Sara joined Radio 1 in 1999 and is now hosting her show every Saturday and Sunday from 1-4pm. First off at Radio 1 Sara co-presented a lunchtime show with Emma B. She went on to launch the Sunday Surgery, where she and the team reeled in a Sony Gold. Sara earned her stripes presenting the breakfast show before doing a stint hosting drivetime.
Despite her self-confessed "knock knees" Sara left school with four A-levels for a career in modeling. That's how she was first scouted for television, by the producers behind The Girlie Show in 1994.
Since that first TV job she's been all over the TV - from show-jumping reality show 'Only Fools on Horses' and 'Top Of The Pops' to MTV and Channel 4 shows like 'The Big Breakfast'.
All around the country, Sara's fronted a number of Radio1 live events, as well as taking her show to Ibiza, Glastonbury and the Radio 1 Love Parade.
Smash Hits and The Sun have both given her best DJ awards. Which is why it isn't surprising that Sara has DJ-ed at many of the country's clubs, Universities and corporate events.
